The fire escape push rod lock is a fusion device for fire emergency escape and daily security. Its core logic is "easy to exit, difficult to enter":
Non-emergency situation: A special key is required from the outside to release the alarm before the door can be opened to prevent illegal intrusion; the door can be opened freely by pushing the rod from the inside to ensure daily access.
Emergency: In the event of a fire or other crisis, the push rod can quickly trigger the door to open, cooperate with voice/sound and light alarms to guide evacuation, and simultaneously link with the fire protection system for remote monitoring and alarm.
The core structure of the components can be disassembled from the figure:
Lock body: Contains the lock tongue, push rod, and transmission mechanism, and is the core execution unit of "lock-unlock";
Push rod: Length ≥ 2/3 of the door width, ensuring that the door can be opened by pushing it at any position in an emergency;
Lock cylinder/handle: External lock cylinder is used for authorized opening, and the handle is optional (with lock cylinder or without locking function);
Auxiliary components: screws, gaskets, fixing brackets, etc. to ensure the firmness of installation.
The installation must follow the process of "measurement → hole drilling → lock body fixing → push rod installation → lock cylinder debugging → function test". Attention should be paid to the matching of lock body and door leaf thickness, push rod direction and lock tongue linkage logic. Some top and bottom push rod locks need to be installed separately for left and right (spring direction needs to be adjusted).
Widely used in fire escapes and fire doors in public buildings such as shopping malls, office buildings, and hospitals. The advantages are:
Emergency priority: In an emergency, the push button will open immediately, and voice/sound and light will guide evacuation, reducing escape resistance;
Security and protection: In non-emergency situations, external authorization is required to open the door, while internal push-button door opening does not cause an alarm, ensuring a balance between daily access and anti-theft measures.
System linkage: It can be linked with fire alarm host, access control, monitoring, etc. to realize central control room alarm and remote authorization, thereby improving overall security efficiency.
